FUNDING FOR UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH

VCU Funded Opportunities

VCU has several undergraduate research training programs that may provide monetary stipends for which you might be eligible.

SELECTED NATIONAL FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR UNDERGRADUATES

Internships, Scholarships, and Fellowships through ORAU and ORISE.

Click here for a compilation of selected opportunities that fund undergraduate students.

Before applying for any of these awards, familiarize yourself with university procedures for responding to solicitations. Many of these opportunities must be submitted through the Office of Sponsored Programs. You should first speak with your mentor/advisor, fiscal administrator and Office of Sponsored Programs before submitting a grant application. The Associate/Assistant Dean for Research in your School/College can also be a resource for information.

Many VCU departments and programs have a process for students interested in securing an undergraduate research experience. Please review the following websites to determine what might meet your needs.
