Grantwriting Series
For new investigators, this multi-week introduction to grantwriting addresses the steps to developing a competitive proposal. Grant writing workshops are also available to your unit upon request.

Proposal Budgeting Basics
This class will provide instruction on how to help faculty and staff prepare a competitive proposal budget and information to help manage award budgets. The class will include a discussion on how to allocate funds for a variety of activities and agencies, working with budget worksheets from the OSP website, and using subcontracts in proposal budget. This workshop is designed primarily for investigators at all levels. Fiscal administrators and fiscal staff who work with faculty on grant budget development may also attend.

Mock Study Sections
Internal and external reviewers will gather to evaluate a draft NIH proposal in a NIH study section format.

Meeting with Program Officers
Funding agency program officers can provide a wealth of information about funding programs, mechanisms, outlook, and your reviewers' comments. However, with limited time and resources, it is best if you approach them with a strategy to best get your point across and get the most useful details from them. This workshop will cover how to effectively meet with program officers, whether over the phone, via email, or in person.
